The Stone Newsletter: January - March 2024

Membership Growth – Below are all the new and returning members and resignations by category for 2023. A combined 138 new and returning members and only 48 resignations. We will end 2023 with 1117 total members. Our retention rate has greatly improved with our best yet in the history of the Club in raw numbers and percentages. We will finish the year with a 4.3% attrition rate. To put this context, our best year attrition year in history was last year at 6%; since the member takeover in 2009 through 2017, we had a 12%-15% attrition rate and gradually reduced it each year since then.

Thankyou for your continued support andexcitement aboutGreystone. The staff and I are enthusiastic about making 2024 the best year ever at the Club. A year without any shutdown for capital projects and improved service, quality, and programming. All of you give this 52-year-old the energy of a 30-year-old to keep improving each day. All my best to you and your families for a happy and healthy 2024! Best, Dave Dave Porter, General Manager/CEO

Club President 's Message Dear Members,

As we start 2024, it is hard for me to believe that a year has passed as President-Elect and my term as President is beginning. In my first column this year, I would like to revisit the remarks I made via video at the Annual Meeting; I could not be more excited about where Greystone is as a club today and what the future holds.Throughout 2023, membership has continued to grow as we bring in new families and friends. It is even possible that by the time you read this, we will have a full membership and will have started a waiting list. What an exciting time to be a Member! Having a waitlist is a first for Greystone and is the culmination of many years of hard work by your prior Presidents, Board members, Club Management, and Staff to provide an experience that so many people desire. And as Past President, Todd Reeves, mentioned earlier in the year, we are not stopping here! The Board and Club Management are working to build out future improvements and expansions. At the Board Retreat this past Summer, we visited Chambers, who designed the Legacy improvements, to discuss how we could upgrade the facilities at Founders. We anticipate concepts and drawings for an update of the Founders Clubhouse to be available for Members to see in the first half of 2024. As a member-owned club, it is important for us not only to maintain what we have but also to build for the future.

As we move into the first quarter of 2024, I encourage you to enjoy your Club. Don't let the cold weather keep you at home. There are many events planned for Members to enjoy! Comedy Night, Dueling Pianos, Wine Dinners & Tastings, and Karaoke! Get in the gym and make that New Year's resolution happen, get your tennis game in shape, or make 2023 the year you win the Member/Guest golf tournament. There is something here for everyone! I look forward to seeing you all at the Club this year. Let's make it a great 2024. Rod Fuller Rod Fuller, 2024 Club President
