The Stone April-June 2022 Newsletter

AMessage from Dave Porter

Dear Members,

I hope you are well and enjoying the start to Spring.

The next fewmonthswill be extremely exciting at Greystone. Wewill be opening the Lakeside Activities Center, hosting the Women’s SEC Championship (shown on the SEC Network on the final day), Regions Tradition (shown on the Golf Channel each day), and hosting Mother’s Day and Father’s Day activities. We roll into July 4th weekend after this newsletter coverage, so the team put all the details in this issue. Please check the details carefully because we will be hosting the Fireworks on Saturday, July 2nd, this year.

Cellar 91 continues to improve the quality of food and service, and we plan to keep focusing on making it a destination. We will begin featuring live music Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week on the patio from April through September. Our new Amici Steakhouse concept has been well received. If you have not been since the change, I encourage you to try it out. There are more affordable authentic dishes, and we have added a prime steak section, and our prices include two sides, unlike the steakhouses on 280. We have new awnings coming for the rear of the clubhouse. If you have seen the tears from the tornado in February, you have noticed this is a pressing issue. With supply chain and labor issues for so many companies, we are impacted by the material not arriving on time. The company anticipates an installation before the Regions Tradition. Our team will make a temporary repair in the meantime. Also, we have all new patio furniture from Summer Classics arriving in early April. There will be more seating and expanded variety with more relaxing seating for cocktails, conversation, and food. Throughout the Spring, you will see the team power washing, painting, and cleaning all exterior areas of the Club. We have outsourced the soft washing of the Founder’s Clubhouse exterior. The Legacy Clubhouse exterior will be profes- sionally cleaned after the construction is complete. • We will offer fine dining in the Trophy Room and Trophy Room Terrace on Thursday and Friday evenings. • The Driving Range at Legacy will be open five days per week, alternating periodically with construction. • The Founders course will be aerified May 23rd – 31st, which will be the only aerification for the year. • The Founders course will be on a maintenance schedule from June 1st – September 30th of every other week to close the first tee at noon on Mondays and open at noon on Tuesday. The tee sheet will reflect the exact schedule. • Wewill be hosting golf trips for themembers every week during our 16-week closure. The plan is to offer trips for men only, women only, and couples. We will email the details as we get closer and can make tee times at specific clubs. What can you expect when we close the Legacy Clubhouse and Golf Course on May 31st? • We will be open seven days per week at Founders for golf and dining (lunch and dinner).

The staff and I are looking forward to an amazing Spring ahead. I look forward to seeing you around campus.

Best, Dave
