PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Greystone’s 30th Year has truly blossomed into view in exciting fashion! The 2021 Regions Tradition is back during the first week of May, our Membership continues to grow, the Spring Calendar is crammed with amazing events and the Board will be communicating our long-range strategic plans for the growth of your club in the coming weeks! Please take the time to study our newsletter, visit our website often, plug-in to our social media and download the Greystone app to your phone. This is the most exciting time in the history of Greystone, and you do not want to miss a single thing! The golf and social event of our year, the Regions Tradition, is planned for the week of May 3-9, 2021 and will conclude once again on Mother’s Day Sunday! The Regions Tradition is a vital part of our club and our community and it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Greystone to those around the world looking to find a home here! We are expecting our best field of PGA TOUR

Champions ever with names like Defending Champions Steve Stricker, Past Champions Miguel Angel Jiménez, Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman, Jeff Maggert, and many others. In addition, the 2020-2021 rookie class is highlighted by a star- studded group that has tallied eight victories thus far during the 2020-21 season, including two each by Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk and Darren Clarke! An integral part of the Regions Tradition success is the many volunteers who contribute their time, money, and effort to help support the event and in turn, support the many charities who benefit from the tournament including Children’s of Alabama Hospital. There are over two dozen volunteers who have worked every single event since the inaugural Bruno’s Memorial Classic in 1992! Greystone members naturally play a vital part in these volunteer efforts and I want to encourage each of our members – and especially our newer members - to register as volunteers for 2021! It is a great opportunity to watch your golfing heroes and to support so many worthwhile charities. Since January of 2020, Greystone has experienced positive membership growth for 15 consecutive months - which is an unprecedented period in the 30-year history of our club! During this time, we have added over 120 new member-families to our club! In March of 2021 alone, we added 25 new members! This is an amazing team effort between our Membership Marketing staff, your Board, your Committees, the entire Greystone staff and especially you our members! Based on the conversations we have with our new prospects, we are in the third round of new members who have invited their friends, who in turn invited their friends to join! We are so excited to see these new families and we are well on our way to our goal of 1,000 Greystone members! The word is out about what an amazing place Greystone is, so you better invite your friends to join before we are full! Our Spring Social Calendar is chocked full of so many amazing events, we can hardly list them all in this newsletter! Please be sure to mark your social calendars for our Easter events, our three Sunset Cruises, the Titanic Dinner, Bingo Nights, Trivia Night, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day brunches, our themed dinners, Kid’s Breakfasts, the Grand Opening of the pool, our Memorial Day weekend blowout, Dinner on the Green and many, many more events! Plus, our Kids Summer Camps start in June so be sure to register for those. What an amazing three months of social events are ahead! Our major golf events include the SEC Women’s Golf Championship April 13-18 (L), the Regions Tradition May 3-9 (F), the Men’s Spring Member-Guest May 19-22 (F, L), Tillie Bailey Memorial May 27-28 (F), Men’s Senior Club Championship May 29-30 (F), Men’s Summer Member-Guest June 2-5 (F, L) and Men’s Match Play June 12-13 (L). There are so many other great golf events planned for April-June so be sure to check our calendars.

The Tennis Center expansion will be completed in April and will include the new Tennis Viewing Pavilion! There is a tremendous positive vibe surrounding our tennis program thanks to the many new upgrades to our tennis campus, to the plans laid out by your Tennis Staff and to the addition of many new members who are finding a new tennis home here! We are looking forward to our best year EVER for our members who play and love tennis! Your Board of Directors in concert with our General Manager Dave Porter and Staff, our Committees and with guidance from the Chambers planning group, is finalizing our plans for the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan for Greystone. We are so excited about what is in store for Greystone and look forward to sharing these plans with you in the coming months. It is a multi-faceted plan which includes: Capital Replacement Plans of Physical Assets, Golf Course Master Plans, Operating Improvements, and a Facilities Master Plan. Detailed plans and funding initiatives will be introduced during Town Hall meetings in May shortly after the Regions Tradition. We look forward to sharing these exciting developments with our members! As you can see, it is a great time to be a Greystone Member! All of our discussions, strategies and plans are designed for our future growth which will further enhance the value and enjoyment of being a member here at Greystone. We appreciate the time so many have already put into our planning efforts and we appreciate the feedback and guidance we are going to receive in the coming weeks as we move forward in finalizing our future plans. Here We Grow!

Looking forward to Seeing You At The Stone!

Dale Gorham Club President, 2021

GENERAL MANAGER'S MESSAGE

Dear Members, I hope you are enjoying the amazing start to spring at the Club. Please remember the variety of dining options now offered at the Club. • The Café is open 6am-3pm seven days a week. There is no need to go to another coffee shop when you can come to the Club. All drinks are made to order with beans ground to order and pastries are homemade by our Pastry Chef, Kat. The outdoor seating and view are incredible compared to all other coffee shops overlooking a parking lot. You can use the mobile App to order in advance and our staff is happy to bring it out to your car under the porte-cochere. Chef Alan is working on hiring an Assistant Pastry Chef to work with Kat so we can begin producing our own sandwich breads and rolls, dinner rolls and loaf breads for sale in the café. • Cellar 91 has a great menu that will be changing every other month and new summer items will be on the horizon. Our new Sous Chef, Bobby Beard is creating many fans. The service staff is upholding higher standards and performing very well. The experience of a casual and relaxed environment with good food and libations is in full effect. Friday nights are open until 11pm with live music and pizza until 10pm. Friday and Saturday evenings, we feature our Oyster Bar on the patio. Wednesday – Sunday we feature our famous ice cream bar for the kids in all of us. Wine Down Wednesday is 6pm-7pm every Wednesday and Happy Hour nightly from 5pm-6:30pm with $2 off appetizers and $2 off all drinks. Please don’t forget that you can order pizza delivery Wednesday through Sunday and ordering on the Club App is now available. • Our Sous Chef, Jason Schauer is taking Amici to another level. He is making homemade pasta and delicious creations. The attention to detail in the food and service with Saint John leading the front of the

Our Beverage Management responsibility has been given to Krystal Sawyer. She is doing a fantastic job with getting the product organized and ordering efficient and timely. She works with Kerrie Johnson to ensure all bulk wine orders are handled properly & professionally with proper communication and expectations. We have instituted online ordering via the website or Club App to keep it easy for members. Krystal is also working on creating a Bourbon Club and a Beer Club to both launch within a couple weeks after Regions Tradition. Our lease for golf maintenance equipment is coming to fruition on May 31, so after extensive bidding and negotiations we have a new fleet of equipment coming in a late May or early June. This will help the staff morale and conditions for the members as technology changes and there are many enhancements to the new fleet. As part of the negotiations, we were able to turn our golf car fleet over to new Club Car golf cars coming in late June or early July. These cars will have lithium batteries, Greg Norman Shark Experience with 5G GPS and Bluetooth Bose speakers. You will no longer need to bring a speaker to the course. This deal also includes four new beverage cart units. These are not new expenses and prices were negotiated so there are no increases in member cost associated. We are in the process of hiring a Youth Activities Director for summer to create programming for kids 4-16 unrelated to sports camps and summer camps. They will create age specific events and programs a few nights a week. This will allow parents to drop off their kids for fun and kids dinner while they can spend time relaxing. We will start a variety of teen and tween programs as well for specific interest groups. If this position is a successful addition to the Club for the summer, we will make it a year-round position. Every year I get more excited about what we are doing at the Club and how we continue to improve and evolve. This year is for sure the pinnacle after the challenges of 2020. The team and I am so looking forward to making your experience amazing this season!

house is at a high level. It is a perfect time of year to sit outside at Amici and enjoy the experience of the food, service, atmosphere of the falls and great friends. Mangi e bevi con gli amici.

Best,

Dave Porter General Manager

Just in case you missed the news last Fall, the Board recently approved a new Legacy Gifting Program for all Equity Members of Greystone. This is great news for those of you with adult children! As you may recall, you have always had the ability to pass your membership down through the Legacy Transfer Option in our Bylaws. The unfortunate part about this option is that it requires that you exit the Club when your membership and all equity rights associated with it, pass down to your child. With our new Legacy Gifting Program, you can stay and enjoy the club with your children. Under the new program, all Equity Members (Regular, Corporate and Life) now have the following additional benefits for their adult children (natural, adopted or stepchildren): Children 23 and older can join as a Social Member with no initiation fee. (access to all amenities, except golf). For access to all amenities, including golf (and if under age 35), they may join as a Young Professional Member with no initiation fee. Once they turn 35, they must convert to or join as a Regular Membership and pay a $10,000 transfer fee. This fee may be deferred 1 year and paid over 5 years, interest-free. 2. For Equity Members with Gifting and Redemption Rights, you can “Gift” to one child to satisfy the $10,000 fee in lieu of receiving future redemption. As we approach our Club’s 30th Anniversary, may we be reminded of the important things in life: family, friends, time, and traditions. Together we share a history of hosting PGA Tour Champions, a sense of belonging to a special place and a legacy of families coming together through the generations. We hope you will use this Gifting Program to share the Club and build your family’s legacy at Greystone. If you are interested in gifting a membership or if further questions remain, please contact me directly at (205) 986-5146 or adevine@greystonecc.com. • 1. You can “Gift” a membership to each of your children. •
