A MESSAGE FROM Todd Reeves

Dear fellow members, I want to introduce myself as your 2023 president. My name is Dr. Todd Reeves, and I have been a proud member since 1999. Over the past twenty-plus years, I have watched Greystone evolve into the fantastic club it is today. I have had the honor of serving on the Board for the past four years and have gotten to be a part of the outstanding accomplish ments we have all seen here at the Stone. Under the leadership of GM Dave Porter, past presidents Janice Folmar, Dale Gorham, and Mark McGarvey, and a very active board, we have seen our Club reach new heights. Just in my time on the board, we have seen our Club guided through the Covid 19 pandemic with flying colors, secured the Regions tournament for ten years, upgraded our tennis facilities, added the Lakeside Activity Center, where the sport of pickleball has taken off, and just this past year we completed the Legacy Club House and course renovations. This was a four-month project that was not only completed on time but also budget! Most importantly to our club, we have seen membership growth explode over the past several years.

So what should our goals be moving forward? First and foremost, I hope to see our Club continue to provide an envi ronment that brings its members from all different backgrounds together for fun and entertainment. The Club should strive to maintain all our excellent services here at Greystone. These services include wine mixers, cooking classes, bourbon and beer tastings, dinners on the green, live music, great tennis events, and amazing golf facilities. There are just so many great things happening here at Greystone. We should also always be working to provide new experiences to our members. My personal goal is to help create a club that becomes its members' number-one destination for dining and entertainment. This will be done by maintaining existing services and growing new ones so each member has multiple activities of interest. Membership participation is crucial to our club. Spending your entertainment dollars at Greystone allows us to maintain and grow our options for fun! Even more importantly, your participation allows for the support of a great team of employees to serve our members. In an ever increasingly difficult market, I feel it is of the utmost importance for Greystone to become more competitive in its salaries for our employees. Services we all desire at a high-end Country club can only be obtained and maintained by supporting those who provide said services. Myself, Dave Porter, and our board will make this one of our top priorities in 2023. Finally, one of the larger projects being discussed is replacing the irrigation system on the Founders course. The cur rent system is 30-plus years old and is simply worn out. Jason and his team have done an excellent job of keeping the old system running and the Founders course in wonderful condition. Extensive studies and planning of a new system have been done. The new system will significantly improve the turf and playing conditions of the current course. It will also allow for any future upgrades to the course. Greystone Golf and Country Club is in the spotlight each year when the Regions Tradition rolls around. Having legendary golfers compete in one of the Senior PGA Majors at our Club is a big deal. The new system will allow for excellent golf for the tournament, but most importantly for our members. The Regions Tradition and having Mark Blackburn, a top seven teacher in America, has put Greystone on the map of the golfing world. I am so excited about the possibilities here at the Stone. With minimal growth in 2023, we will have our first-ever waitlist to join Greystone. This is every club's dream! Of course, the elephant in the room is the economy and inflation. I feel we have the best General Manager to help guide us. I, along with your board, will work with Dave to guide our club through 2023 while maintaining the standards established here at Greystone. We will always place the club's best interest first. I truly feel there has never been a better time to be a member of Greystone. I look forward to making it even better. Sincerely, Todd Reeves Todd Reeves, 2023 President 4

Dear Members, I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season and shared part of it with us at the Club. There is a lot of excitement around 2023 with a full year to enjoy the clubhouse at Legacy and new golf course fully knitted in by mid-year and back to 10-minute tee times. Hopefully, this winter, members will take advantage of the new golf simulator. We have some amazing events planned for the first quarter of the year. No need to stay inside this winter with all we have planned socially and with golf, pickleball, and tennis. Capital 2023- our plan includes building outside storage at Founders, a new elevator at Founders, phase one of two for the replacement of tennis court lights, upper parking for lakeside activity center expanded and resurfaced, irrigation at Founders to begin with 9 holes in 2023 and 9 holes in 2024, and some more AC replacement at Founders. During the irrigation project, we will have 17 holes open every day that you play. As the plans are finalized, we will communicate a more precise schedule. We are halfway through Greystone University with 22 employees enrolled. Several Greystone University 6-week programs for members will be offered in 2023. The first will be scheduled after the employees graduate in March. I am so excited about the improvements the team has planned with member service and elevating the experience on a daily basis. We have extensive training planned in the first quarter, so you will begin to see drastic improvements as each week passes. Each year in February, we celebrate the employee milestone anniversaries at a Tenure Awards Dinner celebration. Each employee brings a guest, is provided a crystal memento, and a generous gift based on the milestone year. The group below will be celebrated this year. • Lindsay Thornton, Administration 25 years • Yain Viviano, Course Maintenance 15 years • Julia Aldana, Culinary 15 years • Tomas Martinez, Course Maintenance 15 years • Wanda Woodgett, Culinary 15 years • Cody Hanna, Course Maintenance 10 years • Kristijan Mitrovski, Tennis 10 years • Ernesto Robles, Course Maintenanc e 10 years • Kat Arredondo, Culinary 5 years • Will Johnson, F&B Banquet 5 years • Maurice Mayo, F&B Banquet 5 years • Wojciech Mulier, F&B Banquet 5 years • Marvin Rembert, Culinary 5 years • Russell Wallace, F&B Banque t 5 years • Jim Wise, Golf 5 years Please join me in celebrating these accomplishments when you see them around the Club! All the best, Dave Dave Porter, General Manager & CEO A MESSAGE FROM Dave Porter
