A Summer of Fun at Greystone! We’re excited to offer a summer filled with fun, adventure, and opportunities for kids to learn and grow. Whether they’re diving into swim lessons, perfecting their golf swing, or making new friends at camp, our programs are designed to keep kids active, engaged, and having a blast.
With expert instructors, carefully planned activities, and a focus on both fun and safety, every child can enjoy a rewarding experience. From themed pool parties to junior sports development and exciting pop-up events, there’s something for everyone.
Aquatics, Swim Team & Youth Summer Camps
Quin Estes DIRECTOR AQUATICS AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES
With 11 years of aquatics experience and Lifeguard certification, Quin Estes specializes in safety and community building. He holds a degree in Public Health from UAB, along with LGI and CPO certifications. Quin joined Greystone in the spring of 2024, bringing a commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for members.

Sarah Chapman HEAD SWIM TEAM COACH & SWIM LESSON COORDINATOR Sarah Chapman has been with Greystone since 2022, bringing a passion for coaching and helping kids reach their full potential. She is Lifeguard certified and plays a key role in training swim instructors while working with clients of all ages. Sarah will graduate from Alabama with a bachelor’s in Arts & Sciences, focusing on communicative disorders.
Jessica Parker SUMMER CAMP LEADER
A Chelsea High School graduate (Class of 2025), Jessica Parker joined Greystone in 2024. As a leader in Chelsea High School’s show choir and theater, she brings vibrant energy and enthusiasm to camp, creating excitement wherever she goes. With strong interpersonal skills, she connects effortlessly with kids, making every activity engaging and fun while fostering a positive and memorable camp experience.
Sophia Laing SUMMER CAMP LEADER
An Oak Mountain High School graduate (Class of 2025), Sophia Laing joined Greystone in summer 2024. Sophia’s show choir and theater experience at Oak Mountain High School helps her bring creativity, organization, and enthusiasm to camp. With a talent for making shy kids feel comfortable and engaged, she helps create a welcoming and fun environment that ensures every camper has a great time.

Swim Lessons The world is 71% water and children are 100% curious. At Greystone, we believe swimming is an essential life skill, and our lessons are designed to help children overcome fears, build confidence, and develop strong water safety habits in a fun and supportive environment. With expert instruction and engaging methods, we make learning to swim an exciting and rewarding experience. Whether they’re just starting out or looking to improve, our goal is to help every child feel comfortable and capable in the water.

Keep an eye out for our Special Events this summer! Wacky Wednesdays: On randomWednesdays in the summer we host fun themed activities at the family pool. THursday Teen Nights: After 4pm, teens (ages 12-17) can bring up to 2 guests with waived guest fees. Super SOaker Saturdays: Water gun showdowns on select Saturdays at the pool. Sundae Sundays: Free ice cream sundaes every sunday from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Dive-In Movies: Bring your floats from home and enjoy a family movie at the pool, see calendar for dates.
Greystone Swim Team Join the Greystone Gators & Grow Stronger as a Team! The Greystone Gators Swim Team is the perfect way for young swimmers to build confidence, make friends, and develop lifelong skills in a fun, team-focused environment! With weekly practices, exciting swim meets, and team socials, our program encourages both personal growth and team spirit. Swimmers will compete in meets across the Birmingham Metro area while strengthening their technique and endurance.
If your child can swim from one end of the pool to the other unassisted, they’re ready to dive in! Join us for an unforgettable summer of teamwork, competition, and fun in the sun!

Private Pool Parties Host your next summer celebration at the Greystone Family Pool! Our team will handle the food, drinks, and party essentials so you can focus on the fun. Parties are available seven days a week but must be booked at least 10 days in advance to ensure a seamless experience. Beat the heat and let us make your party a splashing success!

Greystone Club Summer Camp Give your kids a summer to remember with our action-packed Kids Summer Camp! From swimming and tennis to golf, arts & crafts, and more, they’ll explore all areas of the Club while making new friends. This five-day camp is offered four weeks throughout the summer for kids ages 5-12. Sign up today and let the adventures begin!

Pool Camp Greystone Pool Camp is the ultimate summer day camp for kids! Parents, take a break while your kids enjoy a fun-filled day at the pool, followed by lunch and a movie—all under the supervision of our staff. Normally, parents must accompany kids at the pool, but for this special camp, we’ve got it covered!

3v3 Basketball Camp Greystone Teens 3v3 Basketball League is the perfect opportunity for teens ages 13-18 to compete, improve their skills, and have fun in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. With one game per week, teams of three will face off in 20-minute, half-court matchups.

Kickball League Join Greystone’s Kickball League for a fun, friendly competition between Founders and Legacy teams this summer! Open to ages 13-18, games include 2-3 innings, with each player kicking once per inning.

Sweet Creations Baking Camp Join Kat Arredondo, our talented Pastry Chef, for an unforgettable four-day baking experience! Designed for kids ages 12-18, Sweet Creations Baking Camp will immerse young bakers in the art of pastry creation. Over four mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, campers will learn to craft delicious pastries, cookies, cakes, and more, all while honing their baking skills and creativity.

Golf Instruction with Blackburn Golf Academy
Liz Mattioli, LPGA LEAD GOLF INSTRUCTOR
Lead Instructor Liz Mattioli, a former professional golfer on the Duramed Futures Tour, brings a student-centered approach to coaching. An LPGA Class A Member, Liz focuses on helping golfers find a swing that works with their body while building short-game skills, practice routines, and course management techniques.

Chip Thomas, PGA GOLF INSTRUCTOR
Junior Golf Co-Director Chip Thomas specializes in coaching competitive juniors and uses a holistic approach to improve swing mechanics, short game skills, and on-course strategy. A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.S. in Business Management, he completed the PGA PGM program and gained experience with First Tee chapters and junior instruction before joining Greystone in 2015.

Max Doster, PGA GOLF INSTRUCTOR
Junior Golf Co-Director Max Doster has over 10 years of experience coaching golfers, helping players win tournaments and significantly improve their skills. A PGA Golf Management graduate, Max has been recognized multiple times for his contributions to player development including the Golf Digest Best Teachers In Every State 2024 2025 and has received Player Development awards in the PGA Alabama-NW Florida section multiple times. Max drives his students to maximize their abilities while maintaining a love of the game.

Junior Development (jdev) The JDEV class is a beginner golf clinic that introduces and reinforces the fundamentals necessary to play golf. The class consists of athletic and skill development to prepare for on-course play. A CoachNow group account is provided for video illustrations of class concepts, and individual instruction is posted to personal CoachNow accounts. Players will meet individual scoring goals in 9-hole segments ranging from 35 yards to a forward tee box. Parents are responsible for cart transportation during match play.

PGA Junior League PGA Junior League exposes beginners to a team-oriented, competitive environment to create opportunities for players to explore the golf course and build relationships. Each match-play event is a two-person scramble, played at different courses in the Birmingham metro area. The format is nine holes and is scored by a three-hole flag system in each match with the team winner being the club with the most flags. This is a summer program.

Junior Performance (jPerf) The JPERF class is an intermediate golf clinic focused on skill refinement. Players are expected to play rounds of golf independently throughout the year. Player Development (PDEV) Summer Camp This beginner’s camp introduces players to the basics of golf using an array of activity and discovery-based learning. The camps consist of athletic development and foundational golf concepts and run for three hours each day Monday – Wednesday.

5 stages of e-Learning Summer Series The “Five E’s” support our mission and give girls the opportunity to develop vital life skills such as confidence, finding their own voice, identifying their talents, and inspiring them to live active and healthy lifestyles:

This program includes four Weekly Skills Sessions (1.5 hours per week). The girls will learn two golf skills, participate in skills challenges, and receive education on one of the “5 E’s” during a hydration break. Snacks will be provided.

Kristijan Mitrovski DIRECTOR OF RACQUET SPORTS With 23 years of teaching and 32 years of playing experience, Kristijan Mitrovski specializes in coaching advanced players and adults while developing juniors from intermediate to advanced levels. A USPTA-certified professional, he holds a business degree from UAB and was a national champion in Macedonia (1999). He played for UAB’s tennis team and spent seven years on the Macedonian Davis Cup team. Named Alabama Professional of the Year in 2021, Kristijan is committed to helping players improve while building strong relationships and enjoying the game.

Pardis Kianoush HEAD TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
With eight years of coaching experience, Pardis Kianoush specializes in tennis fitness, technical efficiency, and stroke development. A USPTA-certified professional with a degree in Kinesiology and an MBA, she focuses on creating a personalized, goal-driven environment where players leave each session feeling improved—whether through technical growth, tactical understanding, or a great workout. A standout player at UAB, Pardis was a four-time MVP, a four-time All Conference Singles Team member, and the second female Blazer to achieve an NCAA D1 Top 100 singles ranking.
Russell Payne TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
With 14 years of teaching experience, Russell Payne specializes in serve instruction, technical development, and high-energy lessons while ensuring a fun, personalized approach. A former undefeated #1 singles player and sectional champion in high school, he continued his success in college with an undefeated season at #2 singles and #1 doubles, winning regional titles in both and reaching the national quarterfinals in singles and semifinals in doubles. He also holds multiple open-level singles and doubles titles.

Tennis Summer Camps Our Tennis Summer Camp is designed for kids of all ages who are new to the sport or looking to grow their love for tennis in a fun and active way. Focused on games, play, and teamwork, the camp offers a relaxed environment where kids can get moving, have fun, and learn the basics of tennis without the pressure of drills, matches, or technical details. We emphasize active participation, building confidence, and fostering a love for the game through friendly competition and engaging activities.
