The Stone October - December 2021 Newsletter

GeneralManager'sMessage

Dear Members,

I hope this message finds you well.

We have an exciting Fall and holiday season ahead at the Club. The team has worked through some challenges this past quarter related to staffing and we are now getting to the other side; with the hiring of several great team members. It is very important to me that we are always on the leading edge and not on the bleeding edge of club industry services, events and programs provided. This period was difficult to deliver at the level we expect from ourselves, and I assure you we are ready to deliver at a high level again. By the time you get this newsletter we will have installed the new double slide at the pool. The kids will have something great to look forward to next summer. Several were able to get a weekend of fun out of it. This was made possible because of all the generous members who donated to the Lakeside Activity Center giving campaign. We have almost completed our capital spending for 2021. We will be looking to complete some paving in the Founders parking lot this fall to continue maintaining the Club at a high level. Also, we will be working with Interiorscapes for new indoor plants throughout the Founders Clubhouse. Members can continue to enjoy live music on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings on the Cellar Patio through November 5th and then we will convert back to just Friday evenings inside; unless we get an unseasonably warm night.

As Mr. Gorham discussed, the Board and management are work- ing through several capital improvements for 2022 that will include renovations to the Legacy Golf Course, Legacy Clubhouse, & Lakeside Activity Center. Also, new Cellar patio furniture, new awning for the back of the Founder’s Clubhouse, installation of artificial turf on the back of the range tees, a bar at the pool, and several other items to be determined. Once approved by the Board and the timing, cost, and funding are determined, we will be sharing detailed information by letters, video, and informal in-person meetings. This is a very exciting time for Greystone! Membership continues to be growing thanks to so many new prospective members choosing Greystone as their home away from home. We are very thankful to members referring friends and the hard work of Ashley Devine and Josh Marks. We have a calendar full of events for the fall, golf courses will be in great shape, the tennis and fitness programming are great, a new menu for Cellar 91 and Amici every two weeks, plus we are unveiling our fall Café menu for those favorite fall drinks like a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I am excited to see you at the Club. Please call or email me anytime if you need something.

All the best,

Dave General Manager
