PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Members,
In addition to Regions on May 8-12, there are many more opportunities to engage in exciting events planned for April, May, and June: the Legends on the Range concert bringing together the Ultimate King of Pop, a Micheal Jackson tribute band and Purple Madness, Prince tribute band; wine events; grilling masterclass; and family-focused activities such as Musical Bingo and Family Feud Trivia Night, not to mention the opening of the pool this Memorial Day. The Board and Club Management are dedicated to continuous improvement and expansion. We have begun to think about the growth and future of our Club. Efforts are underway to develop a master plan for the Founders Campus. The same firm who designed the Legacy ren ovation is working on a multiphase plan for Founders. A communication plan will begin in April and continue throughout the summer. Town hall meetings will begin towards the end of summer to share the masterplan concepts. I hope you will join me in the excitement of spring and participate in club activities. Let’s relish our surroundings and the camaraderie that can only be found at Greystone. Rod Fuller Rod Fuller, 2024 Club President
Spring brings renewed energy, and I’m excited to share updates and upcoming events embodying our Club’s spirit.
The momentum of growth continues to propel us forward in 2024, with our membership nearing capacity. We are now just ten memberships away from reaching our waitlist—a testament to the appeal and allure of our Club. Greystone is becoming known nation wide for our exceptional courses, award-winning coaching staff, and hospitality. New members consistently tell us they chose Greystone because it feels like home and where they want to belong. That is because of you, our exceptional members. This spring, golf courses and restaurants will be open six days a week for members to enjoy. With Founders now open on Tuesday and Legacy on Wednesday & Thursday, there are more chances to tee off and take advantage of our dining experiences. Check the Club hours on page 2 for a detailed look at the spring restaurant & golf hours. As we move towards summer, May is just around the corner, and with it, the Regions Tradition will also be here. Make sure you have purchased your Member Package so you can access the VIP Members Tent on #9 and the Member’s only concerts on the patio in Cellar 91.

GENERAL MANAGER’S MESSAGE
Dear Members,
back in full service for members inside the gates. You can call the take-out/delivery phone number for take-out or delivery. Our Flagship Upscale Dining Restaurant, Aqua, has been under test for March with a Steakhouse concept. As a result, we will be going back to the original name of “The Falls”. This signifies no specific concept. It will be an Upscale Contemporary Restaurant with scratch recipes. We will keep the Steakhouse menu for April and May, with some items switching for seasonality. It will slowly change to compete with other top restaurants in Birmingham that do not have a specific cuisine identity. We will commit to always having a steakhouse section of the menu with three to four prime steaks as long as you enjoy them. The walls being built in front of the #9 tee at Legacy and #2 green at Legacy are coming to completion. They look incredible and add such a beautiful aspect to each hole. On behalf of the Board, Staff, and Membership, I thank Mark McGarvey for generously donating the funds for these walls to be constructed. The project fell into the want category but finished off a great course project in 2022, so he stepped up to make it come to fruition for all to enjoy. (I love embarrassing him when he asks me not to). We have added eight new remote-controlled walking carts for your enjoyment at each course. The fee is $15 rental per 18 holes, and the manual walking carts are now complimentary for member and guest use. The interior design company that did the work at Legacy has developed a refresh for Cellar 91. Once the Board finalizes and approves the plan in April, I will share it with the Membership. The work will take place in June and will not cause us to close the operation. I am so excited for the spring and summer seasons at Greystone. The staff and I look forward to seeing you around campus. Dave Dave Porter, General Manager/CEO
I hope this issue of The Stone Newsletter finds you well and that you are enjoying the start of spring.
As Mr. Fuller mentioned, we have so many incredible events and programs kicking off over the next several months. I hope you will take advantage of everything we have to offer.
We have a new team at the pool this summer. I am excited to introduce you to everyone.
Quin Estes, Aquatics Director He received his bachelor’s degree from UAB in Public Health and has worked for the YMCA for the last ten years, with his most recent position as Aquatics Director at the Mountain Brook location. Becky Heisner, Assistant Aquatics Director Becky is currently a personal trainer and group instructor in the fitness center. Pre viously, she had a lengthy career in Aquatics with the YMCA, and we are fortunate to have her as part of this team. She will also be teaching water aerobics. Sara Chapman, Swim Team Coach & Private Lesson Coordinator Sara is finishing her junior year in Alabama. She is returning for her third summer. Philip Carpenter, Poolside Grill Supervisor Phillips will graduate from Auburn in May with a degree in Hospitality Management. He will oversee the food and beverage service at the pool this summer and tran sition into a year-round role with us after the pool season.
Please stop by the Cafe for seasonal coffee drinks and cold brew. I love Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, O’Henrys, and anywhere with good coffee. Not only do we have good coffee, but if you want to do work or relax with friends, why would you like to look at a parking lot at those establishments, while you can enjoy a beautiful view of the golf course at Greystone?
